Who is eligible to receive referral rewards?

Most people are eligible to refer a friend to Alderley Park except in the following categories:

  • Bruntwood and Bruntwood SciTech employees working in the commercial, account management, marketing teams and innovation services as customer acquisition and retention is a key part of the role within these teams.

  • Agents and brokers working with Bruntwood and Bruntwood SciTech.

  • Anyone who has an introducer agreement set up.

What is the reward?

A reward of up to £1,000 worth of Lifestyle gift vouchers if the referral results in a lease/licence completing depending on the product type, size and contract length.

  • £200 worth of vouchers if the referral is for a new coworking customer who signs a licence for a minimum of three months.

£500

  • £500 worth of vouchers  if the referral is for a new customer who signs a licence for a 1-5 person serviced office for a minimum of six months.

  • £500 worth of vouchers if the referral is for a new customer who signs a licence for a coworking lab bench for a minimum of six months.

  • £500 worth of vouchers if the referral is for a new customer who takes up to 300 sq ft of leased space for a minimum contract of one year.

£1,000

  • £1,000 worth of vouchers if the referral is for a new customer who signs a licence for a 6+ person serviced office for a minimum of six months. 

  • £1,000 worth of vouchers if the referral is for a new customer who takes leased space over 301 sq ft for a minimum contract of one year.

What does leased space mean?

Leased space refers to the following products within Bruntwood SciTech’s Alderley Park:

  • Office

  • Labs

What is the process?

To submit a referral, you simply need to complete the web form on our referrals page with your personal details. We’ll then send you an email confirming we’ve got your referral.

When the contract is agreed and signed, you’ll be contacted about your referral reward. Please note, this process can take a number of months to complete (sometimes up to 6 months) but we’ll be in touch as soon as we have news. 

What is considered a referral?

A friend, family member or business contact who would be a great addition to the Bruntwood and Bruntwood SciTech business communities. Existing customer expansions or relocations are not considered a referral. Walk-ins - a person visiting reception at Alderley Park and making an enquiry is not considered a referral. A referral is not valid if it is for a supplier taking space for the duration of a project they are delivering on behalf of Bruntwood SciTech or Bruntwood Group. Claims cannot be made retrospectively and you should submit your referral before an enquiry is made with us. Rewards are allocated at the discretion of Bruntwood SciTech (Alderley Park’s owners) and we reserve the right to withdraw this promotion at any time.

What if the referrer is already connected to the company they are referring for example a shareholder, non-exec director, investor or it’s a sister company? Is it still an eligible referral?

Yes, as long as the company being referred would be a new customer to Alderley Park. Expansions or relocations of existing customers are not eligible.

Are there any alternatives to the rewards provided?

There are no cash alternatives to the rewards already outlined.

Rewards are subject to income tax

Any rewards from this scheme should be declared in your annual tax return or as a benefit. Please speak to your accountant if you are unsure. Alderley Park and Bruntwood SciTech is in no way responsible for any tax implications. For Bruntwood SciTech colleagues, any rewards from this scheme will be declared as a benefit through payroll. This means you will pay tax on the value of the voucher through your pay on the payday after you receive it (subject to payroll cut off dates). This will affect your take home pay for one month when you pay tax on the benefit and it will also alter your annual taxable income.

When do I get my reward?

Rewards will be issued when a lease or licence has been signed. We will contact you upon completion.

I’m a social media follower do you need my company name?

No, if you are a follower of one of Alderley Park social media accounts please input ‘Social Media’ as your company name.

My company already has an agreement to be paid commission to provide leads, am I eligible?

No, where a prior agreement is already in place between a Bruntwood SciTech company and the referrer and/or their employer to provide leads on a commission basis no further incentive will be paid. 

What if I refer a company that turns out to be a confidential project from an agent?

If we didn’t know the company information from the agent before the referral then the reward is still valid.

How long is the reward scheme running for?

Only referrals dated from 01.09.2024 will be eligible for the scheme.

My contact details have changed, how will you contact me?

If your contact details have changed since you submitted your referral, it is your responsibility to make us aware of your new contact details. Please get in touch with info.ap@bruntwood.co.uk to update them with us.

Are there any other restrictions?

Bruntwood SciTech and Alderley Park reserves the right to withhold a reward where a customer is in arrears on their rent.
