Local Fine Food And Wine Store Grantham’s Is Coming To Alderley Park

Independent, family run fine food and wine store Grantham’s has announced it will be expanding with a move to Bruntwood SciTech’s Alderley Park in early Spring. The store’s move to Alderley Park will see the business establish a new home situated in 400 acres of beautiful parkland complete with a versatile private-dining and event space on-site.

The Alderley Edge long-standing favourites will remain focused on supporting small, independent producers, with products sourced from across the UK and Europe, selected from their network of family-run farms, producers and vineyards. Grantham’s will be serving up all the award-winning, premium food and drink for which they are known and loved in their new 3,500 square foot space at Alderley Park.

The new, bigger site will be located at Apiary, opposite Mereside at Alderley Park. Shoppers will be able to park right outside, making it easy to access by car. It’s also well connected by public transport, with the Alderley Park shuttle bus and local bus routes stopping nearby. The new space will allow for Grantham’s to develop an artisan lunch menu utilising the exceptional produce and ingredients for memorable and delicious lunches to takeaway. The private dining room will be open during the day for customers to sit and enjoy products and lunches purchased from the deli, with room for with room for diners to enjoy specially curated dinners. The new deli space will also provide a click-and-collect and lunchtime service, bringing favourites like Grantham’s traditional home-cooked ham sandwiches (made to the same recipe since 1947) to the Alderley Park community and beyond.

At the deli, guests can expect a cheese and charcuterie counter, an exciting and varied wine selection, freshly baked artisan bread, seasonal and local fruit and vegetables, and a fantastic range of products from outstanding small independent producers across the UK and Europe. There will also be olive oils, pastas, and artisan treats, whilst staying true to its roots with everyday essentials such as milk, bread, eggs and yoghurts.

Keeping Grantham’s trademark history, warmth and charm at heart, the new store will provide the experience of a high-end Italian deli, complete with hanging air-dried hams and salamis, glass-fronted cheese-maturing fridges and displays of fine Italian wines.

First established in 1947 by Percy Grantham, who wanted to share his love of Italian food with his local community in Alderley Edge, Grantham’s has built an exceptional reputation and loyal fanbase. Documents dating back to the early 1900s will also be showcased throughout the space, telling the story of the family business through the generations.

Alderley Park is a joint venture between Bruntwood, Legal & General and Greater Manchester Pension Fund (GMPF). It serves as a leading innovation campus, home to a vibrant community of more than 250 businesses alongside a wide range of amenities including a sports, gym and leisure centre, outdoor padel courts, The Churchill Tree pub, and scenic woodland with walking, running and cycling routes open to the public. The 1m sq ft campus is home to over 250 innovative companies employing 4000 people.

Monday – Friday: 8am – 6pm

Saturday: 9am – 4pm
