Serves up! Pure Padel to open up brand new padel facility at Alderley Park
Pure Padel to open its first UK site at Bruntwood SciTech’s Alderley Park in partnership with Everybody Health & Leisure.
The world’s fastest growing sport, padel, is coming to Alderley Park. Pure Padel, set to launch this month in partnership with Everybody Health & Leisure at Alderley Park, will be the brand's first flagship club in the UK and will complement the destination’s state-of-the-art health and wellbeing offering set in over 400 acres of woodland.
Pure Padel will create three separate enclosed padel courts within the Park’s existing health and fitness facility, Everybody @ Alderley Park, giving the community the chance to try the hugely popular new racket sport that is taking the UK by storm. A bespoke padel kiosk has been designed specifically for the Everybody @ Alderley Park site, where guests will be able to access lockers, vending machines, shaded seating, products and merchandise.
A group of Pure Padel’s handpicked, first-class coaches will be heading up Alderley Park’s new facility. The team have recently completed some of the most advanced training programmes for the sport in Europe ensuring attendees are in the best hands possible.
Open to all, the Pure Padel facility will add an ultra-modern new dimension to Alderley Park - owned, managed and developed by Bruntwood SciTech, a joint venture between property company Bruntwood, Legal & General and the Greater Manchester Pension Fund, which is also home to a world leading science and tech campus offering over 1m sq ft of office and lab space.
Whilst padel first found popularity in Spain, it is quickly becoming Europe’s hottest racket sport, and is known for being a fun and accessible game, suitable for all abilities and ages. Due to the ease of the game, padel is perfect for large groups and families, making it an ideal sport for anyone to try.
With local demand soaring for padel, it is expected to be a popular new facility for the local community. Fans who are keen to get their fix will be able to book their games via the Playtomic app, available to download through either the app store or Google Play. Existing Everybody @ Alderley Park members will receive a 10% discount on bookings. Bookings open this Saturday 21st October.
Dan Bourne, Director of Asset Management, Bruntwood SciTech said:
“We’re really excited to welcome Pure Padel to Alderley Park. Padel as a sport is exploding in popularity across the UK, and Cheshire is no exception with local demand high for this exciting new activity. We are delighted to introduce an exciting new amenity at the Park, providing local residents, visitors and professionals working here on site with the opportunity to play the sport as part of our cutting edge fitness provisions.”
Sammy Arora, Pure Padel co-founder commented:
"We are thrilled to announce the development of our first UK Pure Padel Club at Alderley Park in conjunction with Everybody Health & Leisure and Bruntwood SciTech. It's a fantastic location and from October this year will serve the immediate demand for padel in the area and help us to build links with the wider community, through our outstanding coaching programme for adults and juniors alike. With plans for another two clubs in our home county of Cheshire, already at advanced stages, it's also a great springboard to our ambition to build the largest network of Padel Clubs in the UK."
Kris Sankey, Head of Business Development at Everybody Health and Leisure, commented:
“Everybody Health and Leisure are excited to partner with Pure Padel at our Alderley Park facility. This partnership demonstrates our commitment to improving access to sporting opportunities for our members and local communities. We recognise that the demand for Padel has grown significantly in recent times and access to playing spaces has become limited. This partnership will help service the growing demand and improve access, with the introduction of three new padel courts from this October. We are confident this partnership will be a huge success and we are pleased that our members and communities will benefit from this new service.”
