At MDC we’ve completed several commercial projects applying AI techniques to various types of data across multiple areas of drug discovery. In our session we’ll provide an overview of three recent AI related projects. We hope to emphasize the wide range of possible applications of AI in drug discovery, and to demonstrate the areas we can help with. Their talk will cover:
Applying natural language processing techniques to clinical trial text data to improve clinical trial design
AI for lead optimization
Integrating computer vision techniques in a literature processing pipeline
Francis Lee - Science and Tehnology Facilities Council
Francis Lee is a Business Development Manager at the Science and Technology Facilities Council’s Hartree Centre, which provides world-leading facilities and expertise in advanced digital technologies, including super-computing, data analytics and artificial intelligence. Francis has previous experience within the Civil Service, FT intelligence, EU and academic institutions, managing the development of public/private partnerships, policy development and joint research and innovation programmes.
